Day 20: Farewell, 46th
I have to admit, the last few weeks were stressful but fun. We sped through so many topics, from getting a speed lesson on Unity in a single hour, to approaching strangers asking for a short interview. However it all started with the 46th floor of First Canadian Place. For the past three weeks we had our ears popped, watched the clouds pass by though the windows, and pressed the shuffle button probably a million times due to our curiosities.
During our final stay, we needed to present our VR projects we were working for the past week. It was fun and super impressive seeing the results of everyone’s hard work. Everyone’s prototypes were amazing, and some projects and really cool special effects! All of the guest testers were thrilled with the results too, and gave us a lot of advice and compliments.
Today was also fun because we got to play with technology like the Vive and Google Cardboard too.
Once our presentations of our projects were done, we realized this was it. We weren’t going to see First Canadian for a while. Personally, I felt confused. I was excited to head to Sheffield and to finally get out of the classroom, but I was kind of sad of how convenient and quiet the floor was. It was like a home for our Toronto adventures. But like any home, there’s a time where we need to move out and explore.
Today marks the end of the Toronto chapter for this dialogue.
Tomorrow is the start of a new chapter, a new home, and a new adventure. Let’s get ready for Sheffield!
