NU HOPE launched our second sub scale, RED 2! It was a complete success 🙂

AIAA’s NASA Student Launch team NU HOPE (Northeastern University: High-altitude Object Protection Experiment) had its first sub-scale launch on November 19th! The rocket, named RED 1, flew well and the experimental interstage drogue separation device worked perfectly! Unfortunately, one of the main parachutes failed to deploy, due to an improperly paired connector, but luckily Red 1 was recovered with little to no damage! The wiring issue has been examined and will be easily fixed for the next subscale launch scheduled for December 3rd! Special thanks to the Bridgeton Area Rocket Club (BARC) and the National Association of Rocketry (NAR) for welcoming us and for hosting an beautiful launch day!! RED 1 LAUNCH VIDEO
