Research Interests
I originally became interested in microbiology because of its broad and applied nature. This has led me to research topics ranging from applying synthetic biology towards the study of plasmid transfer to the molecular mechanisms underlying persister cells in the food borne pathogen Listeria monocytogenes. In the Lewis lab, I am currently developing novel pipelines and techniques for antimicrobial drug discovery.
